They help B2B Tech businesses in the industry figure out how to monetize their value for the right audiences. Although remote, they work closely together in a flexible and professional environment serving founders, CEOs, and other executives of fast growing, multi-million dollar software companies.

Description

Our client's Market Research Analyst will be a core contributor to their pricing engagement team with exceptional expertise in producing and evaluating methods for collecting data (i.e. surveys). The Analyst will share their findings with their CEO, data analysts, and clients using visuals such as charts, graphs, and other means to help our clients make better-informed decisions about product modifications. Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Primary and secondary market research related to software as a service and technology, including paid and unpaid sources of intelligence (linkedin, owler, crunchbase, pitchbook, websites, G2crowd, capterra, etc.)
  • Competitive Intelligence gathering, including secret shopper inquiries when appropriate
  • Conduct virtual interviews with target sources, including our SaaS client, selected client customers, target client prospects, and competitor clients
  • Craft and program qualitative surveys campaigns including question design and logic to meet our client needs. Survey types include but are not limited to: Customer Value Questionnaires, Internal Strategy Questionnaires, Prospect Pricing Questionnaires
  • Expertly interpret the survey and research data, organized into reports and visual presentations, such as competitive landscape, market opportunities and trends, SWOT analysis, market penetration, market growth analysis, and summary comparison charts

Skills and Experience

  • Personable with exceptional tact for building relationships quickly
  • Fluent and clear communication, with ability to interact with various levels of management seniority, from Founder to Intern.
  • 2 to 5 years experience as a software market research analyst, consulting analyst, product manager, or related role
  • Experience with survey and qualitative research tooling, such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, and SurveyGizmo
  • Experience or familiarity with B2B SaaS business models strongly preferred
  • Marketing experience (social media, content marketing, lead generation) a major plus
  • Management Consulting or Market Research Firms experience a plus, but not required
